The new ner.manual is great, however instead of a dropdown I think it would be nicer if you would allocate the first 10 tags to keyboard shortcuts 1234…0 so that you can quickly toggle between them (potentially with visual buttons/toggles at the top). And then if there’s more tags a dropdown at the end.
Would drastically speed up my tagging speed.
I actually came to pretty much the exact same conclusion and it’s mostly implemented already, and will be included in the next release. By default, label sets of up to 10 labels will then be displayed as a button list with keyboard shortcuts 0-9.
