# Trouble installing Prodigy on Windows machine

Running the below command results in an error:

C:\Prodigy\>pip install prodigy -f [https://XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX@download.prodi.gy](https://XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX@download.prodi.gy)  
Looking in links: https://\*\*\*\*@download.prodi.gy  
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement prodigy (from versions: none)  
ERROR: No matching distribution found for prodigy

My environment:

============================== Info about spaCy ==============================

spaCy version 3.7.2  
Location C:\Program Files\Python\Lib\site-packages\spacy  
Platform Windows-11-10.0.22621-SP0  
Python version 3.12.0  
Pipelines en\_core\_web\_lg (3.7.0), en\_core\_web\_md (3.7.0), en\_core\_web\_sm (3.7.0)

Please help, we cannot move forward.

hi @ronnysh,

Can you try Python 3.11? We don't yet support Python 3.12 yet. We likely will very soon.
